i just got that same fuckin' error less than ten minutes ago.... i had it before while my 360 was under warranty an microsoft was going to fix it at the time but after i got the box my 360 started working fine so i didn't send it..... now i regret that mistake!!! cause i don't got no "extra" money to go an waste on another 360. so now i'm hoping for the good ol RROD...

The best thing for you to do Omissom, is just to turn it off at the plug and don't play on it for roughly 7-10 hours.

i unplugged it from the power source last night... i'm hoping that it works again by monday night

I heard that if you plug it into a bathroom outlet, turn it on, and then press the reset button out the outlet it could reverse the redring effect. I also hear its not good to use surge protecters, somthing about the 360's power cable judging how much power there is or somthing, I don't know man, all very confusing to me.

i'm on the phone with microsoft an the tech says my 360's still under warranty so it'll be a couple weeks till i get it back... enjoy GTA IV everyone i'll be on as soon as i get my 360 back. That don't make much sense though cause i can still play my xbla games if the motherboard was fried i'd think the system would fail to start right?

well i'm glad it's still under the warranty cause i can't afford a new system right now

Wow guys, no bullshit, red rings again!
I don't know what to do, I've had my console back for only a week, and now im looking at my 8th repair.
And I just bought rockband, had myfriends over to do some co op... a couple hours in, and it red rings. I hope/think its my power bar, cus the light stays orange on it even when i turn the console on. Im going to buy a replacement now. If that dosnt work im getting an elite (with my own money).

Just buy an Elite man, and ask Microsoft for a refund.

The new power cord worked, and was only 30 bucks. I wonder if I can swap the fautly one and take it back for a refund.

well i've been checking out vidoes on youtube about the 360's dvd drive and i have the hitachi... i'm thinking about taking my 360 apart and fixing the dumbass drives magnet problem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvgU1lC8k8k&feature=related but with my 360 still under warranty i don't know if i should but on the other hand i want to be able to play gta iv with you all on release.........

WELL BOYS i got the mofo working without taking my 360 apart WOO HOO... i watched some video of a guy sliding paper in his drive while it was messed up an he fixed it an hell i tried it and it worked so in a few days i'll ship it off to ms but for the next few days it's nothing but gta iv for me
